LAW OF ATTRACTION-FENG SHUI– WHAT WORKS?

“Always Bear In Mind That Your Own Resolution To Succeed
Is More Important Than Any One Thing”
Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

When reading about, and listening to, the teachings of both Law of Attraction and Feng Shui from successful and prosperous Masters, it is very easy to become confused and frustrated by what appears to be conflicting and opposing points of view.

So first of all, why are there so many different ways to apparently achieve the same result?  The bottom line is that there are always numerous ways to attain an end result, so never believe that there is one single path you must find and follow blindly to reach your goals and your desires.  In Feng Shui terms ‘Go with the Flow’ and if you come across an obstacle blocking your path consider what the obstacle is telling you and if necessary, change direction.

The most successful practitioners of both the Law of Attraction and Feng Shui acknowledge there are many ways of achieving an objective, they never allow an apparently negative result to detract them from their goals.  Instead they find another way.

“No-One Saves Us But Ourselves.  No-One Can and No-One May.
We Ourselves Must Walk The Path.”
Buddha

When they are dedicated to teaching others how they  achieved their goals, they teach what they know.  They teach WHAT WORKED FOR THEM.  And that is the key.   They know what they did, they know that it worked for them.  Its very easy to reiterate what someone else has said but ultimately if you don’t really believe it the reality you achieve will reflect that.

There are many directions you can take when focusing on the Law of Attraction and Feng Shui.

When working purposefully with the Law of Attraction not everyone can write lists; not everyone is suited to reciting daily affirmations; not everyone is able to spend time meditating and not everyone believes everything they are listening to or reading.

There are many different Feng Shui formulas and each one has their merit.  However, again not everyone has an affinity with a particular formula.  There are complex formulas; there are step-by-step formulas; there are traditional and modern formulas.

So when you are seeking an answer, the key is to find a path or a formula that resonates with YOU.  Whose teachings and methods seem to be in harmony with your way of thinking?  Which direction makes sense to you?  When you find your ‘teacher’ your ‘mentor’ begin your exciting journey to the life of your dreams following their methodology.

That isn’t to say you will never change direction.  When you gain more knowledge and confidence your thoughts and your feelings may change.  However, for as long as it works for you and you feel in accord with the direction you are heading enjoy the trip.  It can be an awesome journey.  On the other hand it will be no journey at all if you don’t take the first step.

“Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
Martin Luther King Jnr

Law of Gestation Law of Transmutation

Whenever anything is planted; whether it is a seed or a thought, it does not instantly become fully developed.  The thoughts you think will not bring instant manifestation so it is important to remain positive and confident that your desires will become reality at the right time.  The same is true of Feng Shui, make changes in your environment with a light and joyous outlook then release any attachment to an end result.

“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are.
When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”
Lao Tzu

In our modern world of instant gratification, where we decide we want something and we want it ‘NOW’ we have become accustomed to expecting to get what we want, when we want it.  The Law of Gestation teaches us that for anything meaningful to come into our lives there will be a time of waiting for it to manifest.  A seed does not grow into a flower before your very eyes.  It must first be planted, watered and nurtured before it grows into a fully developed flower.

By the same token when you ‘place your order’ with the universal energy for something you desire you must allow the attraction process to begin and then manifest at the appropriate time.  This doesn’t mean you will be waiting indefinitely for something you desire to come to you, it only means that once you have thought the thought, sent it out into the cosmos and released attachment to it your work is over.  Your job is not to try and force the ‘order’ to be delivered; this will result in disappointment.  Your attachment to an outcome or timescale and the intensity you feel around it will determine how long you wait for your desire.

Energy transforms.  The opposite polarities of fire and water are examples of how this occurs.  There is kinetic energy, such as fire, which is in a state of being released.  This kinetic energy is the most active and brilliant.  There is potential energy such as water, which has the potential to be released.  It flows in a harmonious way until it is released; it has a hidden strength that lies dormant until something unleashes its power.

Energy can never be created or destroyed.  It moves in and out of physical form; it changes from one vibration to another and it moves from the non-physical into physical form, it is constantly in motion.

Thoughts are non-physical intangible energy patterns and whether they are positive or negative if you have strong feelings associated with them, they will eventually take physical form.  To manifest your desires and attract positive experiences into your life  it is therefore essential to focus carefully on what you are thinking, with feeling, because without that focus you will get what you think about most strongly and with passion.  So if you think more of lack than abundance; more of sadness than happiness, your predominant thoughts are the ones that will manifest in your life.  Think positive thoughts; feel positive emotions and you will manifest positive experiences when your intangible thoughts become tangible things.

Law of Polarity and Law of Rhythm

Everything has an equal and exact opposite.  Think in terms of Yin and Yang, black and white.  JFK popularized the translation of Chinese characters signifying ‘crisis’ as “within every danger there exists opportunity.”  In the Law of Polarity what this means is to look for the good in every situation.

“No-one saves us but ourselves.
No-one can and no-one may.
We, ourselves must walk the path.”
Buddha

The Law of Polarity exists to allow you to fully encompass all that this world has to offer.  However, to experience everything this vast and unlimited Universe has to offer you first have to understand both ends of the spectrum of life.

Without knowing bad you would be unable to experience or even know what good is.  Without understanding poverty, you would be unable to experience wealth.  Without indifference you would be unable to experience the beauty that is love.   In Feng Shui the contrast exists as yin and yang, dark and light, hard and soft and to create harmony balance these two opposing but complementary forces in your living and working lives.

These opposites are sometimes also referred to as ‘contrast.’  You are contrasting, or comparing one thing against another.

In your day to day life it can be so easy to perceive something that is happening as bad, however just as can be seen in the yin/yang symbol, within every seed of ‘bad’ there is an element of good, and vice versa.  The challenge can be to seek the good and focus on that rather than magnifying the bad, that is when you can begin to take complete control of your life and your life experience.

We all have the potential to manipulate each experience and turn it to our advantage.  Doing this allows us to experience harmony and a fulfilling, happy and abundant life.

Law of Rhythm

This is flow; the ebb and flow of the energetic universe.  When it is resisted it causes negative blocks making the attraction process stagnate.  In Feng Shui, translated as wind and water, the wind and the water move through and around anything they come into contact with, they ‘go with the flow’ of the natural and man-made world.  This is the way to approach your life experience.  Rather than resisting what is, accept it and if changes are required make them with no resistance.

The easiest way to interpret the Law of Rhythm is with the seasons of the year and what you see and experience in each of them.  Springtime is the season for planting seeds, seeds that are nurtured through the summer and harvested in the autumn, with winter allowing the land to rest after its seasonal labours.

From a personal point of view, if you are going through what you identify as a ‘bad time’ by the Law of Rhythm this will be replaced by a ‘good time.’  Let go of attachment to the negative and the positive will replace it much quicker.  The longer you hold onto something as though it is a lifeline, the longer it will stay with you.

The key is to relax, know with absolute certainty that things will work out well, and get on with your life.  Identify the  part of your life that is currently being negatively affected, use one of the Feng Shui formulas, such as the Eight Aspirations, to rectify it on a physical level in your home or your work environment and sit back and relax in utter faith that the unseen is working on your behalf to resolve whatever situation you feel you are experiencing.

Law of Cause and Effect

Law of Cause and Effect – The Law of Cause and Effect says that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Within the Law of Attraction the cause is your thoughts and feelings; the effect is the outcome of these thoughts and feelings.  The bottom line is that you are the cause of everything that occurs in your life and the effect is the way your life experience is opening up before you.

“What You are is what You have been,
And what You will be is what You do now.”
Buddha

Another way of describing the universal Law of Cause and Effect is the law of sowing and reaping.  In other words whatever you sow through your thoughts and feelings will be harvested, will manifest in your experience.  It is vital to understand this if you are using the universal Law of Attraction and the practice of Feng Shui, to bring you an abundance of health, wealth and happiness.

As with every other universal law it is not based on religion, bias or favouritism; the amount of money you have or where you live.  The source of all things, whoever or whatever that means to you, does not analyse thoughts and lifestyles before deciding on a response.  Instead the ‘effect’ of your thoughts and feelings is returned to you in direct proportion to the extent of the ‘cause’ that you yourself have created.

There is a saying “be careful what you wish for, you might just get it” and this is true of the Law of Cause and Effect.

There is a tendency to look for the bad in our lives and good in the lives of others.  This can be associated with strong feelings of resentment and envy.  It is these feelings that are creating the effects you experience.  It is all too easy to look at the lives of others and imagine the grass is greener on their side of the fence.   Instead of focusing on their lives focus on how you picture your ideal life.

You are causing damaging effects in your experience by something as simple as sympathizing with friends or family over their ill-health, or their job loss or any other negative scenario.  As soon as you ‘feel’ bad on their behalf, you are attracting that into your own life.

If you are living the life of your greatest desires; are happy and fulfilled in your career; believe you control your destiny; your thoughts and feelings are congruent with your experience.

If you are not there yet then get clarity on exactly what it is you desire; visualise your ideal life.  Writing your desires down; feeling the excitement associated with these desires is an excellent way of bringing them to life.

The only time we have is NOW and for this we can rejoice.  Because if you are feeling unhappy, dissatisfied, frustrated or poor, this is the result (or the effect) of your past thoughts, feelings and actions.  By changing the cause; your thoughts, feelings and actions from negative to positive, by visualising your desired outcome, you are tipping the balance.  You are changing the flow of experience.  Your past thoughts were against the tide of your desires, your present thoughts will now allow you to move with the tide.

When you are not consciously focusing on creating your life, when your thoughts are random and disorganised this is reflected in your experience.

Feng Shui practice also focuses on using the power of your thoughts and feelings to manifest positive experiences into your life.  While believing in its effectiveness is not necessary for it to work efficiently, making changes with a positive outlook and with no attachment to the timing of any outcome will not only create harmony in your home and working life, it will also create harmony in your thoughts and feelings.

Law of Relativity

Law of Relativity – This Law is used to gauge the value of an outcome when compared to something else.  When something happens that you perceive as positive or negative it is only interpreted that way when it is compared to another thing or event.  This is something that can be used in a positive way when you remain in a state of optimism and happiness.

The Law of Relativity exists because there is always something to use as a comparison.  We only know what day is because of night; what up is because of down; and within the Law of Attraction conversation we know what we perceive as positive when compared to what we perceive as negative.  Nothing actually has meaning, except for the meaning we give it.  And this is taken further when we remember that different people will identify a situation or circumstance in a variety of ways.  No two people will ever visualise a situation in exactly the same way.

Another system of interpreting the Law of Relativity is by using ‘contrast.’  In other words identifying what it is you do not want to discover what it is you do want.  That is not to say you should be focusing on what you do not want.  Instead  recognise it, let it go and then put your attention on the positive, auspicious aspects of your desires.  With focus and strong desire you can choose to see the good in any situation.

An excellent way of establishing contrast is to have a sheet of paper divided into two columns.  On the left make a list of everything in your life you perceive as negative.  In the second column ‘look for the positive in your negative list’ and record this.  As you write this second list really focus on the positivity and you will begin to appreciate all the things in your life; you will begin to understand that you have been identifying positive as negative and living the result.  This will bring a feeling of happiness and peace into your experience.

Incorporating the practice of Feng Shui into this Law of Relativity will give you another point of positive focus when you make changes in your home, office or in yourself.  It is impossible to have both a negative and positive thought at the same time so to attract your ideal life, identify the negative, let it go and focus on the positive both internally and externally in your surroundings.

And while this is something personal to you, by creating positive vibrations in yourself you will begin to see that the world around you takes on a positive outlook.  Your outer world becomes a reflection of your inner mind.  You can make this a win-win situation for you and for everyone in your life.

You are unique.  You are never going to be better, or worse, than anyone else.  Your journey in life is never the same as that of somebody else, however similar the external circumstances appear to be. This makes it impossible to compare your life with someone who appears to be your equal in terms of capabilities or circumstances.  It is never possible to know exactly what is going on in the lives of others and while outwardly they can portray a sense of confidence and superiority, this could hide a feeling of inferiority.

Our thoughts, feelings and interpretations of the world around us, are all different.  However, by interpreting situations in a positive way we portray our environment in a way which allows us to attract positive experiences.  It is our thoughts and feelings that hold so much power and when you begin to appreciate how much you have to give to the world you can begin to love the life you have chosen to experience.

Feng Shui and the Law of Attraction

When we think about the Law of Attraction we tend to incorporate another six universal laws within its boundaries.

As mentioned in our previous post there are seven universal laws which govern our lives and over which we have complete control through our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Law of Attraction - This is the Law most commonly spoken of when we aim to live our lives by design rather than by default.  The frequency with which our energy vibrates resonates with like frequencies and it is this that creates the attraction process.

Whether the frequencies are positive or negative depends upon the quality of our thoughts and feelings.  Like it or not we attract what we put our attention on and this is what is brought into our experience.

Law of Relativity – This Law is used to gauge the value of an outcome when compared to something else.  When something happens that you perceive as positive or negative it is only interpreted that way when it is compared to another thing or event.  This is something that can be used in a positive way when you remain in a state of optimism and happiness.

Law of Polarity – Everything has an equal and exact opposite.  Think in terms of Yin and Yang, black and white.  JFK popularized the translation of Chinese characters signifying ‘crisis’ as “within every danger there exists opportunity.”  In the Law of Polarity what this means is to look for the good in every situation.

Law of Rhythm – This is flow; the ebb and flow of the energetic universe.

Law of Gestation – Whenever anything is planted; whether it is a seed or a thought, it does not instantly become fully developed.  The thoughts you think will not bring instant manifestation so it is important to remain positive and confident that your desires will become reality at the right time.  The same is true of Feng Shui, make changes in your environment with a light and joyous outlook then release any attachment to an end result.

Law of Transmutation – Energy transforms.

Energy is continually in motion; this is the basis of Flying Star Feng Shui.  It cannot be created or destroyed, only changed in form.  Nothing is constant.  At an intangible level thoughts are a form of energy and the strength of those thoughts can bring the non-physical into the physical.

These laws are often combined under the one umbrella of the Law of Attraction however there are subtle differences between them and harnessing the power of each of the seven laws will manifest into reality when practised  in the right way.

Nine Positive Steps (7-9)

Success Is the Sum of Small Efforts,
Repeated Day In and Day Out
Robert Collier

Moving on to the final three numbers of 7, 8 and 9 to maximise our potential using the Law of Attraction and Feng Shui.

Seven (7) Red Star – The number 7 resides in the West of the original Lo Shu grid.  This is the area relating to our current northern hemisphere season of autumn.  It is a time of transition from yang moving towards yin, from the brightness of the summer sun to the darkness of the winter sky.  The West is the area of the youngest daughter, of gold and of joy.  Its primary colour is white which will brighten up the dullest of days.

In Flying Star Feng Shui the number 7 is currently an inauspicious star to be wary of.  It is the red star of violence and any area where it flies into should be kept quiet to avoid activating its malevolent nature.  Depending on the location it flies into it can be suppressed with water, or in extreme cases, fire (light.)

To many people 7 is a lucky number; the number of wisdom.  It is associated with the intellect and seeking the truth.  There are said to be seven natural universal laws and these are the Law of Attraction, the Law of Relativity, the Law of Cause and Effect, the Law of Polarity, the Law of Rhythm, the Law of Gestation and the Law of Transmutation.  They each work in a different way and together to create your life and your experience brought into being with thoughts, actions and feelings through the Law of Attraction.

There are seven days in our week and as the Book of Genesis in the Bible states, God created the Earth in six days and on the seventh, he rested, hence Sunday has become known as a ‘day of rest.’  The number 7 therefore signifies completion.  The end of one cycle and the beginning of another.

Eight (8) White Star – In Feng Shui this is an auspicious star whenever and wherever it appears.  It signifies wealth and abundance.  Because of its similarity with the infinity symbol, which has no beginning and no end, it also represents a cyclical pattern of positive experiences.  The number 8 is an Earth number and its location is the Northwest which is the place of the mountain; a natural creation that hides an infinite supply of wealth.  Within the mountain is a storehouse of riches such as metal (gold) and earth (precious gemstones.)

There are eight planets in our solar system, all orbiting the sun.  Our earth is the third planet from the sun and is affectionately known as being in the ‘goldilocks’ zone of the universe.  In a time dimension formula of Feng Shui the 8 and the 3 combine to create wealth luck.

There is a Feng Shui formula known as the Eight Aspirations.  This formula identifies eight areas that when activated bring a life filled with health, wealth and happiness.  The eight aspirations or eight types of luck are career, education, longevity, monetary wealth, recognition, love, family and mentor.

Combine this formula with the Law of Attraction by purposefully energising the various compass areas to activate the luck associated with these areas; and releasing all attachment to the outcome.  You can then allow the universal source of all things to bring one, or all, of these aspirations into your experience at the perfect time.

Nine (9) – Purple Star – This is, like the number 8, an auspicious number.  In Feng Shui it is the final number of the Lo-Shu grid.  Its position is the south and it signifies fame and recognition.  It is associated with the height of summer and the middle daughter.  It is a number that can never be changed.  This number completes a cycle of 9 x 20 years; ie 180 years (add the 1 and the 8 together and the sum is 9.)

This number, being the last of the single numbers signifies accomplishment; the achievement of a desire realised through dedication and commitment.  The number 9 signifies ultimate success.  Therefore when utilising the Law of Attraction on purpose write down in graphic detail your desires, and activate the south of your home or your office with auspicious symbols such as the victory horse.  Maintain the total belief that your aspirations are already yours and get on with your life in the knowledge that the Law of Attraction is working for you.

Nine Positive Steps (4-6)

The Greatest Danger for Most of Us Is Not That Our Aim Is Too High and We Miss It
But That It Is Too Low and We Reach It
Michelangelo

We are right in the middle of the number sequence now, getting to the heart of the attraction process.

Four (4) Green Star – In the original Lo-Shu 3x3 grid the number four resides in the Southeast.  This is the area that belongs to early summer and is the location of the eldest daughter of the family.  This number indicates a time of new upward growth and expansion and will thrive when it combines with the number one Water Star.

The number four also indicates a square, four sides and can indicate a feeling of being trapped. There are the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, the four primary directions of north, south, east and west and four planes; the physical, emotional, intellectual and the spiritual. When they harmonise they flow naturally, one to the other and create a sense of freedom and openness.

When in accord the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual planes of the human experience will provide a firm foundation to bring all your desires to fruition.  These are the elements to work on to bring positive results from the Law of Attraction teachings into your everyday life.   Create the life of your dreams from the inside out.

Five (5) Yellow Star – This is the central star in the Lo-Shu grid.  It is an Earth number that brings with it five types of misfortune.  It is not a star to be ignored and care should always be taken when it flies into an area.  The area where it resides for the year should be kept still, as undisturbed as possible and dimmed.  Fire, lights and excess noise will strengthen the negative power of this star.

When actively working with the Law of Attraction use your Five Senses when visualising your ideal life to strengthen your power to attract.  If you can see, feel, smell, hear and taste your vision it will speed up the attraction process.  This can be a difficult thing to accomplish, however practising meditation is one way of making the invisible, visible.

Six (6) White Star – The number six White star is one of the auspicious stars.  At present it is the weakest of the three as its next 20-year period is a long time in the future.  However, this number is the number of Heaven, the male, mentor luck and its auspicious direction is the Northwest.  This is always an area to take care of to bring you the benefits associated with its home location.  It is an area to focus on if you are looking to start a family.

Using your five senses is an essential step when working with the Law of Attraction and using its power to attract the life of your dreams;.  In addition there is one more ‘sense’ that can allow you to find, and follow, your passion.  That is your sixth sense.  Always be aware of the message the universal energy is sending you.  Your intuition, any reactions you instinctively sense, is the Universe pointing you in the right direction.  Listen to the nudges you receive and take action on what you discover.

Nine Positive Steps (1-3)

“What Day Is It?” asked Pooh
“It’s Today” squeaked Piglet
“My Favourite Day”, said Pooh
Winnie the Pooh – A A Milne

There are nine numbers in Feng Shui placed around a 3x3 grid and as they ‘fly’ around the grid they unlock secrets to Time Dimension or Flying Star Feng Shui.  If we combine some of the meanings of these Feng Shui numbers with Law of Attraction steps let’s see where it takes us.

One (1) White Star – In Feng Shui this relates to the north and is principally concerned with success coming from your chosen career.  Take care of the north of your home if career is important to you.  Enhance it with metal elements and flowing water.

The ‘One’ thing that all Law of Attraction masters teach is that ‘everything is Energy.’ Quantum Physicists have now proven that Energy is anything and everything; our words, our thoughts; our feelings; our bodies; our homes; our environment; our earth and our universe.

Two (2) Black Star – This is the Feng Shui star of the female and of love and relationships.  It is half of the complementary force of yin and yang.  Without one it is impossible to know and experience the other.

‘Two’ positive steps when consciously working with the Law of Attraction are to feel a deep and sincere gratitude for everything and everyone in your life, and hold a clear and concise vision of your ideal life.  Picture it, and live in it, in the present moment, as if it is around you HERE and NOW.

Three (3) Jade Star – This is the star that governs the luck of the eldest son in a family and its direction is the east.  The east is also the area relating to health and longevity.  In Feng Shui there is the trinity of luck, Tien, Ti, Ren; Heaven, Earth and Mankind Luck.  Heaven is the Karma you bring into this life when you are born, Earth is the practice of Feng Shui and Mankind is your input; how you take advantage of opportunities that come your way.

Everything you 1) Think 2) Feel and 3) Say is attracting to you.  It is true that your predominant thoughts and feelings are attracting like thoughts and feelings to you whether they are positive or negative.

When you are consciously working with your sub-conscious and your conscious mind to bring you what you desire ensure your living environment is not giving out a different story.  Using a releasing technique to rid your sub-conscious mind of negative thoughts and re-training your conscious mind towards positive expectations is essential to bring you your desires.  However if your home is cluttered and has a permeating air of yin energy, there is still a block to the Universe delivering your ideal life.  All three have to be in accord to allow your positive expectations to be attracted to you.

Clutter Clearing Within

You must unlearn what you have learned
Yoda (Star Wars)

The Law of Attraction brings you more of what you predominantly think, and more importantly, feel about.  You have a sub-conscious storehouse of memories equivalent to something resembling the Encyclopedia Britannica.

The accumulated knowledge you have gathered in your current lifetime comes from a combination of sources.  It comes from your karma; from the thoughts and beliefs of your parents and relatives and the things you saw them experiencing in their lives, the things they said to you as you were growing up; the teaching you received in your school life; from your friends relating their experiences both good and bad and from the media; the real-life magazines telling stories of how ‘the other half’ lives and the drama of television and radio.

You listen to; sympathise with; identify with and wish you could be like ‘the other half’ and all this is stored deep in your sub-conscious mind.  This storehouse of memories affects every part of your life.  When something good or something bad happens to you, you delve into this memory bank and when it brings forth a comparison from the past you can convince yourself that

a)      You deserve it – whether ‘it’ is good or bad
b)      It won’t last – well it never does
c)       Well last time that happened I lost …..

The Law of Attraction and its cause and effect will bring you what you predominantly think about with strong emotional feeling.  These strong feelings usually accompanies whatever happens and as you have your memory bank to fall back on you know exactly what happens next.

So you don’t like what happens but feel you can’t do anything about it.  That’s not true – you can.  To change the pattern; to create a new end result you first have to clear all the negative clutter that has been stored inside for so long.  Instead of instinctively thinking all these negative thoughts you can slowly and purposefully begin to think and say exactly the opposite.  You may not believe it to start with but persist.  Keep focusing on the good and refuse to listen to, or think about, any other outcome that a positive one.

At the same time discover your personal Kua number based on your year of birth and when you know your four lucky and your four unlucky directions you can use this information to look around your home and see whether you have a layout that is positive for you.

Using the Eight Mansions Formula of Feng Shui which is a personalised formula based on the four primary and four secondary compass locations is specific for the individual.  It is an easy formula to follow.  The four lucky directions are the success, health, love and personal growth directions.  The four unlucky directions are the bad luck, five ghosts (which signify five types of trouble), six killings (are more serious health, wealth and business related misfortunes) and total loss directions.

Ideally you want to sleep in a bedroom located in your success direction with your head facing (the direction to top of your head faces when you lie down) your health direction as you sleep.  If you have been sleeping in your total loss direction its very unlikely anything good and positive will have been happening to you.

With this formula you will also find out if the home you are living in is in harmony with your Kua number.

You will either be an east group or a west group person and your home will be either and east group or a west group home.  While it is not necessary to move house if you are in conflict with your home, this formula makes you aware and will give you positive suggestions on how to positively live in harmony with your surroundings.

Clutter Clearing

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out
Robert Collier

Whether you are in business for yourself, work for a company, are a stay-at-home parent, or an entrepreneur, the one thing that can make or break your efforts in your life and your business, is clutter
.
The Law of Attraction attracts to you that which you focus attention on; that which you have strong feelings about and that which you have an emotional reaction to.

Repetition and consistent action will bring results.  When your thoughts are in a positive flow this is auspicious, however when they are in a negative flow, this results in blockages to your progress and your ultimate success.

Clutter takes many forms both tangible and intangible.  In business tangible clutter is physical paperwork, an untidy desk and an untidy computer desktop, unanswered correspondence, filing waiting to be done and unfinished projects.  Intangible clutter is negative thoughts around starting or completing a particular task, avoiding making those dreaded telephone calls and commitments you have agreed to and would prefer not to do.

In the home tangible clutter is an untidy garden, dirty windows, unwashed clothes, correspondence, unpaid bills, magazines and shoes discarded by the front door.  Intangible clutter is that which is out of sight but most definitely not out of mind, damaged china stored in cupboards, out of date food and drink, clothes that no longer serve you.

Our mind holds a storehouse of memories and when something occurs to activate one of those memories and it brings up a negative reaction; this is also clutter.

In Feng Shui clearing clutter is a pre-requisite to any of the formulas.  In your business or in your home it is necessary to start with a clean slate; a clean and clear environment before you can positively activate any Feng Shui practice.

As an example, suppose you would like to attract a new car using the Law of Attraction and you can visualise it sitting bright and sparkling in your garage.  You open your garage door and are confronted with a space filled will tools, garden utensils, dead leaves blown into the area; all the things that are left to their own devices because you don’t see them unless you open the door.  You don’t open the door because you know what you will find; clutter.  Will your shiny new car manifest into your life under these circumstances.  This is not very likely.

If you currently live alone and want to attract a partner into your life you first of all have to look around your bedroom and see whether there is room for anyone else.  Do you sleep in the middle of a double bed?  Is your wardrobe filled to bursting with clothes and shoes?  Are the images you display showing one person in them?  Do you cling on to photographs or memories of past loves?  The attraction process cannot begin until you de-clutter your mind and your room.

There is a cathartic benefit to clearing the clutter in your home and working life.  You carry this clutter on your back in an invisible heavy sack filled with negativity. Once you begin the cleaning process, you open the sack and allow the contents to float away.  This will leave you feel light and bright and ready to move forward with confidence.

Collective Consciousness

The mind that perceives the limitation, is the limitation
Buddha

Over many generations there have been figures who have captured the imagination of the masses; from Jesus Christ, said to be the son of God, and Gautama Buddha, described as the Enlightened One to Mahatma Ghandi, who brought independence to India through non-violent civil disobedience and Billy Graham, an American Christian Evangelist.  All these individuals brought with them powerful teachings and for this reason their energetic message still resonates in the world today.

Their followers came together bringing with them powerful emotions, strong feelings and a passion for change in their lives.

The West, thanks to work conducted by Quantum Physicists, now acknowledges what has been accepted in the East for a long time, everything is Energy.  Every thing and every being, every plant, flower, tree, drop of water; every animal, human being; every physical object in our environment; every thought and feeling, is Energy.

The Law of Attraction exists and is at work in all of us, every second of every day and responds to our conscious and sub-conscious emotions, thoughts and feelings.

Whether or not these people knew, and know of its power, it is this universal law that led to the formation of Christianity, of Buddhism, of non-violent organizations whose purpose is to bring about change through persistence and a huge worldwide evangelical movement.

The wisdom of the ancient peoples of the world is only just being to be rediscovered and their knowledge being opened up to all.  Without the limitations we impose in our modern world they were able to see beyond their immediate environment.  Centuries old writings have indicated the power of the mind and this power affects not only what happens to us personally, but extended outwards affects the rest of the world.

With the worldwide power of the internet, there are individuals who spread a universal message of prayer or meditation.  Having participants from around the world gather to purposely pray and meditate for a better world raises our awareness of our unity.  We are all Energy, therefore we are all connected, so what happens to one of us at some level affects all of us.  The more people who are affected, the more aware we become.

One very important point to make is that the Law of Attraction is a personal thing.  When focusing on making positive changes in our lives, we can only do that for our own benefit.  This seems to fly in the face of what has been said before, however, other people can benefit…but only with their permission.  If they resist, or block, any benefit from reaching them, either consciously or unconsciously, they will fail to improve the quality of their life.

To truly envelop us and positively affect our experience we first have to let go of any of the preconceived attachments we hold to any particular outcome.  We have a tendency to cling on to what is familiar whether this is good or bad, just because it is what we have become accustomed to.  However, if this is not in accord with our desires we will first have to get out of our own way and let go of that part of our life that is not serving us.

When practising the ancient art of Feng Shui, sometimes known as the art of placement (although this is a very simplistic interpretation of its power and potency,) with a positive mental attitude you affect all those around you.  You, your family and your work colleagues can benefit from the correct interpretation of the many Feng Shui formulas.

Your Life Story

“Believe you can and you're halfway there.”
Theodore Roosevelt – 26th President of the United States

"You'll see it when you believe it."
Wayne Dyer – Author and Motivational Speaker

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened unto you.” Matthew 7:7 in the Holy Bible.

So how do you ask?  You ask through your desires; you ask through your feelings and you receive through your lack of attachment to the outcome.

You write your own life story as you want it to be, or you allow someone else to produce and direct the script that is your life?

Writing your life story is like writing the script for a movie; a movie you would love to have the starring role in.

Like all scripts, they can be changed, amended, altered, improved; so if the movie you are currently starring in is not panning out authentically, now is the time to do a re-write and take control of the quality of the end product.  You can even choose the cast and the locations, the full story.

Write the script, visualise your story, meditate and then ‘step into’ the reality.  If it feels good, you are heading in the right direction; if it feels bad your story is off target and the only person who can bring it back in line is the star.  Your vibrational frequency will determine your experience. How you are currently living is perfect, because it is the story you have written up to this point, however if you are not living your dream, your ideal life, the pen is in your hands and you can change the storyline.

You can ask yourself what it is you do not want, but never do that without following it with focus on what it is you do want.  This will direct your point of attraction in a positive rather than a negative way.

It is never too late to change your point of focus.  Whatever has happened in the past, and that can be years ago or a minute ago, you can turn things around.  All you have to do is take your thoughts by the scruff of the neck and direct them they way you want them to go.

Forget what has happened in the past and think only of NOW.  This is the only time there is.  Thinking you can change the past is futile and a waste of your power, thinking only of the future is wasting your opportunity to live in harmony with the real time of NOW.

If the life you are currently experiencing is falling short of your desire, as well as writing a new script you can also practice one of the formulas of Feng Shui, such as the Eight Aspirations Formula.  By enhancing your current living space, you are beginning to take control of your future life.

The Eight Aspirations of Feng Shui are luck in career, study and education, health and longevity, long-term wealth, fame and recognition, love and relationships, family and mentoring.  All aspirations that when attracted bring with them a life filled with love and joy.

You can enhance the locations that match as few, or as many, of these aspirations as you desire.  Everyone is unique and their desires are unique, so once again, you make the choices for you, and you alone.  The beauty of the Eight Aspirations of Feng Shui is however that any positive changes you make in your home will benefit all members of the family.
