FENG SHUI-LAW OF ATTRACTION and REFLECTION

When we look at someone or something are we seeing ourselves, our feelings and emotions reflected in that person or in that thing?

Is there a place you love to be; or on the flipside a place you dread spending time in?  Is there a person or people you long to be with or are there those who appear to drain your energy just by being in the same room?

So why do we feel as we do and how does that affect those around us?

We know that self-talk can be sabotaging to our hopes and desires; our feelings and emotions.  The internal stories we (read ego) tells us can keep us stuck in a constant cycle of 'getting nowhere fast'.
Law of Attraction teaches that what we tell ourselves affects not only us but also everyone and everything else. It is so easy to convince ourselves that everything bad is the fault of someone else.  Strangely enough we are not so quick to pass the buck if something good is occurring.  There is only ever one constant in your life - you!

“Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.”
Mahatma Gandhi
Accepting responsibility for all aspect of our lives imbues us with the power to control our own destiny.  Why give that power away to someone else?  Grab it, make your own decisions rather than allowing someone else to dictate your path in life.

Where does Feng Shui come into the picture?  When viewing the world around us it is easy to identify something as inherently good or bad for our Feng Shui.  Don't look upon everything as black and white, negative or positive. Energy (Qi) is constantly in motion and moves in cycles.  These cycles bring bad times and also good times - to the same people, the same property, the same environment.

Rather than becoming afraid of anything and everything appearing threatening discover for yourself or take action by seeking specialist advice to determine whether you have any real cause for concern.  Better to do this than lose sleep over something that may likely never happen.

TIEN, TI and REN CHAI

‘Always Bear In Mind, That Your Own Resolution To Succeed Is More Important Than Any One Thing’
Abraham Lincoln

Our earlier blog on Heaven, Earth and Mankind Luck described a connection between Law of Attraction and Feng Shui and how they shape our life experience.

Looking at it another way we can interpret Heaven Luck or Tien Chai as the hand we are dealt when we begin our life on Earth; Earth Luck or Ti Chai as the way we manipulate and use the space around us and how this affects the energetic feel of our surroundings and of ourselves; and Man Luck or Ren Chai as the way we live our lives based on our beliefs, our thoughts, our feelings and our actions.  Man Luck is also influenced by the knowledge we gain as we journey through life and how we choose to use this knowledge.

Tien Chai is generally beyond our control.  It is our blueprint, our destiny if you like.  It sets out what we can, and what we can not achieve in life.  Can we ‘prove it wrong?’  Our Ren Chai allows us to make considered choices.  We can consciously decide to take a certain path through life, a path that may lead us to success or failure.  How much success we ultimately achieve however, is fixed.  This is based around the belief of Chinese Metaphysics.

Everything is Energy; so here is a scenario to consider centred around this principle.  If destiny is fixed and someone, somewhere chooses a different path does the universal energy re-arrange itself thereby affecting everyone and changing their ultimate fate?  Rather like the ‘Butterfly Effect.’

Ti Chai is Earth Luck, the physical environment we call home.  And included in this one-third is the practice of Feng Shui.  This is the physical aspect of the trio whereby you get to create your Man Luck by utilising Feng Shui in your life; in and around your home as well as in and around your workplace.  You can attract positive and auspicious energy by utilising the practical applications of Feng Shui formulas.

If you look on Feng Shui as Earth Luck you  can perhaps interpret Ren Chai (Man Luck) as the Law of Attraction.  As it is your thoughts, feelings and actions that are associated with Man Luck you get to choose how you use your Earth Luck to your advantage.

You also get to choose your life experience.  Using the principles of the Law of Attraction to build a vision of your desired future,  whether through writing affirmations, creating a vision board, meditating, visualising or undertaking a program based around Law of Attraction principles you are consciously using your Man Luck.

FENG SHUI and LAW OF ATTRACTION-Always in Motion

Heaven Mankind Earth Luck

"Always in motion the future is"
Yoda

"Always in motion the future is" said Yoda.  What did he mean?  Perhaps because we create our reality in every moment of our lives, the vision of our future changes with the direction of our thoughts.  The future might appear rosy, good things all the way and yet one powerful random and negative thought, full of deep feeling and emotion can change all that.  In contrast our future might appear bleak with nothing positive present in our daily lives with no hope or focus.  However by changing the way we look at this future, by looking at the positive, however small, and refusing to acknowledge the negative, wonderful things can appear.

'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' is a song written by Eric Idle of Monty Python fame.  It was originally featured in the 1979 film 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' and was subsequently released as a CD single in 1991.  To turn fortunes around when they are looking bleak take heed of the title of this song and look for the good in the world around .  It is there and it can be something we usually take so much for granted like the feel of the sun on your face or each breath you take.

As living, feeling energetic beings we have the freedom of choice; and the energy that we choose to bring into our body, mind and spirit will influence our reality.

Whether you believe in karma and reincarnation or not we are born into a reality that becomes our lives.  With our birth we bring generations of accumulated knowledge; knowledge incorporating both good and bad experiences.  This is the Heaven Luck that we bring with us, taken from our predecessors.  Our sub-conscious minds are a storehouse of this information.   Our Mankind Luck is how we make use of this in our current reality; how we choose to live our lives.

As karmic beings we bring our past knowledge into this reality.  It is said that good, or bad, we are here to learn lessons we missed, or refused to learn, before; to take a step towards nirvana.  Our past lives is the 'cause' and our present experience is the 'effect.'  There is a body of belief that suggests we, as energetic beings with a soul at our core, choose the family we are born into; that we know the lessons we want to learn and choose our path accordingly.

Earth Luck comes into play, along with Mankind Luck when we consciously, or unconsciously, use Feng Shui to determine where we live, where we work, what we like and dislike.  Unconsciously, because we all make a choice.  It may not always seem like that but at the end of the day we say 'yes' or 'no.'

FENG SHUI-LAW OF ATTRACTION—and CLUTTER!

“Out of Clutter, find simplicity.  From discord, find harmony.
In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.”

“Everything that can be counted, does not necessarily count.
Everything that counts, cannot necessarily be counted.”
Albert Einstein

What has clutter to do with Feng Shui and Law of Attraction?  What is the connection between the two?

The connection between Feng Shui and clutter is very well documented.  It is generally number one on the list of  recommendations before enhancements or furniture placement is suggested.  Before enhancing anything and anywhere, de-cluttering your space allows the energy around you to begin to flow harmoniously; preventing the chance of stagnant energy (Sha Chi) forming in your environment.  This de-cluttering is not a one-off quick fix, it is more like regular spring cleaning, clearing out the old yin energy to make way for the new, improved yang version.  Yin energy saps our strength and motivation; yang energy allows us to thrive and grow.

Clutter is something self-created.  Each of us consciously, or unconsciously contribute to the clutter in our lives.  It is not a contribution we necessarily actively seek, however it is part of our lives.  Laying something down and then leaving it; hanging a picture we really dislike because it was a present; packing our handbags or briefcases with paper and never clearing them out; buying new clothes without removing something we no longer wear, or something that no longer fits us; and storing something we may never use again ‘just in case;’ are some examples of creating clutter.

Keeping something ‘just in case’ brings us naturally on to the Law of Attraction connection.  This signifies a ‘lack’ mentality, a fear that if we dispose of something we will not be able to replace it, or attract a better alternative.

This type of clutter is mental clutter and it is the intangible energetic clutter we cannot see but which is just as debilitating as that which we can see.  It blocks our progress towards something we desire to experience in our lives.

Consciously working with the Law of Attraction we are seeking to attract something specific into our experience.  Whether it is something physical or emotional; practical or fun, we seek to attract it.  Writing about it, displaying pictures of it and dreaming about it while at the same time, through the power of our thoughts and feelings blocking its arrival, is clutter.  Our internal ‘chatter’ that on the one hand says “this is what I want” is on the other hand saying “ha, dream on!”  This is a form of mental clutter that is very difficult to identify and therefore, difficult to clear.

Our modern-day lives tend to be lived full-on and at maximum warp speed.  We are constantly distracted by family, friends, work, technology and our thoughts and feelings.  This is the clutter of everyday living that helps prevent clarity.  As a result we have very little time to really focus on what we are seeking.  This is why meditation is so highly recommended for everyone.  It has the ability to clear your mind and allow you to focus with precision on the things important to you.  Those with a really busy mind may have to experiment with different forms of meditation to find the one that will allow you to finally still your constant mind talk however this is a small price to pay for the satisfaction of clearly focusing on your goals and desires.

LAW OF ATTRACTION-FENG SHUI– WE MADE IT THROUGH!

“No-One Saves Us But Ourselves.  No-One Can and No-One May.
We Ourselves Must Walk The Path.”
Buddha

Well we may have reached the end of the Mayan calendar and unlike many doomsayers predicted, we survived what was reported to be ‘the end of the world.’

Fortunately, the collective consciousness for survival far outweighed the collective consciousness for destruction.  As with all stories of despair and destruction, they make headline news – our ultimate desire for survival was the stronger energy; was the loudest voice in our hearts and our minds.

Could we really have ‘thought’ our way to destruction?

Thankfully today there is now a greater awareness of our place in the universal energy; there is a greater awareness of the power we hold within us, and it is from this awareness that we can choose the direction we take.

By consciously creating our lives the way we desire them to be through our thoughts, feelings and our actions.  By   using the power of the ancient civilisations who have given us knowledge through their observations and experiences.  By purposefully practising Feng Shui, an ancient practice, in our lives we are now in the most wonderful situation where we can begin to create a world filled with love, and beauty and harmony.

The current period 8 (2004-2023) in Feng Shui is an earth element period; a time when we look to find a more spiritual and enlightening path rather than the previous period 7, a metal element time that signified a constant search for more and more wealth.  This is a time to create a sense of stability and belonging in our lives, in our homes and in our world.

This year, the first of our ‘new era’ if you like, will still have its share of disharmony, the destructive elements of fire and water are present yet again in the annual chart.  However because they are yin elements rather than the yang elements of 2012 the effects will be slightly less violent.  There are indications of natural disasters; there are indications of disasters caused by fire (the sun, volcanic eruptions); and there are indications of water-related incidents.

All energy is cyclical, hence the saying “what goes around comes around.”  There is no clear indication of where this saying originated but it has been linked to the Buddhist belief in rebirth, or Karma.  Also Confucius, the Chinese teacher, editor, politician and philosopher talked about reciprocity; or “do unto others as you would have done unto you. “  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confucius

This cyclical movement is one of the reasons Feng Shui is so potent and effective.  Nothing ever stays ‘all bad’ or ‘all good.’  However the thoughts and feelings of each of us as individuals will influence our path so when you have a fork in the road of your thoughts consider carefully before taking the well-worn route forward.  Making a new choice can mean the difference between failure and success, between fear and love, between sadness and happiness.

LAW OF ATTRACTION-FENG SHUI– WHAT WORKS?

“Always Bear In Mind That Your Own Resolution To Succeed
Is More Important Than Any One Thing”
Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

When reading about, and listening to, the teachings of both Law of Attraction and Feng Shui from successful and prosperous Masters, it is very easy to become confused and frustrated by what appears to be conflicting and opposing points of view.

So first of all, why are there so many different ways to apparently achieve the same result?  The bottom line is that there are always numerous ways to attain an end result, so never believe that there is one single path you must find and follow blindly to reach your goals and your desires.  In Feng Shui terms ‘Go with the Flow’ and if you come across an obstacle blocking your path consider what the obstacle is telling you and if necessary, change direction.

The most successful practitioners of both the Law of Attraction and Feng Shui acknowledge there are many ways of achieving an objective, they never allow an apparently negative result to detract them from their goals.  Instead they find another way.

“No-One Saves Us But Ourselves.  No-One Can and No-One May.
We Ourselves Must Walk The Path.”
Buddha

When they are dedicated to teaching others how they  achieved their goals, they teach what they know.  They teach WHAT WORKED FOR THEM.  And that is the key.   They know what they did, they know that it worked for them.  Its very easy to reiterate what someone else has said but ultimately if you don’t really believe it the reality you achieve will reflect that.

There are many directions you can take when focusing on the Law of Attraction and Feng Shui.

When working purposefully with the Law of Attraction not everyone can write lists; not everyone is suited to reciting daily affirmations; not everyone is able to spend time meditating and not everyone believes everything they are listening to or reading.

There are many different Feng Shui formulas and each one has their merit.  However, again not everyone has an affinity with a particular formula.  There are complex formulas; there are step-by-step formulas; there are traditional and modern formulas.

So when you are seeking an answer, the key is to find a path or a formula that resonates with YOU.  Whose teachings and methods seem to be in harmony with your way of thinking?  Which direction makes sense to you?  When you find your ‘teacher’ your ‘mentor’ begin your exciting journey to the life of your dreams following their methodology.

That isn’t to say you will never change direction.  When you gain more knowledge and confidence your thoughts and your feelings may change.  However, for as long as it works for you and you feel in accord with the direction you are heading enjoy the trip.  It can be an awesome journey.  On the other hand it will be no journey at all if you don’t take the first step.

“Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
Martin Luther King Jnr

Law of Gestation Law of Transmutation

Whenever anything is planted; whether it is a seed or a thought, it does not instantly become fully developed.  The thoughts you think will not bring instant manifestation so it is important to remain positive and confident that your desires will become reality at the right time.  The same is true of Feng Shui, make changes in your environment with a light and joyous outlook then release any attachment to an end result.

“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are.
When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”
Lao Tzu

In our modern world of instant gratification, where we decide we want something and we want it ‘NOW’ we have become accustomed to expecting to get what we want, when we want it.  The Law of Gestation teaches us that for anything meaningful to come into our lives there will be a time of waiting for it to manifest.  A seed does not grow into a flower before your very eyes.  It must first be planted, watered and nurtured before it grows into a fully developed flower.

By the same token when you ‘place your order’ with the universal energy for something you desire you must allow the attraction process to begin and then manifest at the appropriate time.  This doesn’t mean you will be waiting indefinitely for something you desire to come to you, it only means that once you have thought the thought, sent it out into the cosmos and released attachment to it your work is over.  Your job is not to try and force the ‘order’ to be delivered; this will result in disappointment.  Your attachment to an outcome or timescale and the intensity you feel around it will determine how long you wait for your desire.

Energy transforms.  The opposite polarities of fire and water are examples of how this occurs.  There is kinetic energy, such as fire, which is in a state of being released.  This kinetic energy is the most active and brilliant.  There is potential energy such as water, which has the potential to be released.  It flows in a harmonious way until it is released; it has a hidden strength that lies dormant until something unleashes its power.

Energy can never be created or destroyed.  It moves in and out of physical form; it changes from one vibration to another and it moves from the non-physical into physical form, it is constantly in motion.

Thoughts are non-physical intangible energy patterns and whether they are positive or negative if you have strong feelings associated with them, they will eventually take physical form.  To manifest your desires and attract positive experiences into your life  it is therefore essential to focus carefully on what you are thinking, with feeling, because without that focus you will get what you think about most strongly and with passion.  So if you think more of lack than abundance; more of sadness than happiness, your predominant thoughts are the ones that will manifest in your life.  Think positive thoughts; feel positive emotions and you will manifest positive experiences when your intangible thoughts become tangible things.

Law of Polarity and Law of Rhythm

Everything has an equal and exact opposite.  Think in terms of Yin and Yang, black and white.  JFK popularized the translation of Chinese characters signifying ‘crisis’ as “within every danger there exists opportunity.”  In the Law of Polarity what this means is to look for the good in every situation.

“No-one saves us but ourselves.
No-one can and no-one may.
We, ourselves must walk the path.”
Buddha

The Law of Polarity exists to allow you to fully encompass all that this world has to offer.  However, to experience everything this vast and unlimited Universe has to offer you first have to understand both ends of the spectrum of life.

Without knowing bad you would be unable to experience or even know what good is.  Without understanding poverty, you would be unable to experience wealth.  Without indifference you would be unable to experience the beauty that is love.   In Feng Shui the contrast exists as yin and yang, dark and light, hard and soft and to create harmony balance these two opposing but complementary forces in your living and working lives.

These opposites are sometimes also referred to as ‘contrast.’  You are contrasting, or comparing one thing against another.

In your day to day life it can be so easy to perceive something that is happening as bad, however just as can be seen in the yin/yang symbol, within every seed of ‘bad’ there is an element of good, and vice versa.  The challenge can be to seek the good and focus on that rather than magnifying the bad, that is when you can begin to take complete control of your life and your life experience.

We all have the potential to manipulate each experience and turn it to our advantage.  Doing this allows us to experience harmony and a fulfilling, happy and abundant life.

Law of Rhythm

This is flow; the ebb and flow of the energetic universe.  When it is resisted it causes negative blocks making the attraction process stagnate.  In Feng Shui, translated as wind and water, the wind and the water move through and around anything they come into contact with, they ‘go with the flow’ of the natural and man-made world.  This is the way to approach your life experience.  Rather than resisting what is, accept it and if changes are required make them with no resistance.

The easiest way to interpret the Law of Rhythm is with the seasons of the year and what you see and experience in each of them.  Springtime is the season for planting seeds, seeds that are nurtured through the summer and harvested in the autumn, with winter allowing the land to rest after its seasonal labours.

From a personal point of view, if you are going through what you identify as a ‘bad time’ by the Law of Rhythm this will be replaced by a ‘good time.’  Let go of attachment to the negative and the positive will replace it much quicker.  The longer you hold onto something as though it is a lifeline, the longer it will stay with you.

The key is to relax, know with absolute certainty that things will work out well, and get on with your life.  Identify the  part of your life that is currently being negatively affected, use one of the Feng Shui formulas, such as the Eight Aspirations, to rectify it on a physical level in your home or your work environment and sit back and relax in utter faith that the unseen is working on your behalf to resolve whatever situation you feel you are experiencing.
